One Sunday as I was interning at Sound Workshop with local band PONY BOY, I asked Dallas how he was doing. He looked at me in a flash of brilliance and replied (in a very Boone County, Indiana voice), "Oh you know...Just tryin' not to be held liable." I asked myself, 'Who DOESN'T want to be held liable? What kind of person doesn't want to be held liable?" The image of Dallas Bailey as a carny popped into my head. And I found the image to unite these recordings. -- Alex Mysliwiec
